Synopsis

On December 24, 1999, an Indian Airlines flight was hijacked while en route from Kathmandu to Delhi. The plane was diverted to Kandahar, Afghanistan, which was under Taliban control at the time. The hostage crisis lasted for several days, leading to tense negotiations and eventual release of the passengers.
